Why are they hiring?

We have currently 1 technical support engineer in the office in Manizales, Colombia.

Because of the business expansion and growing partner network in LATAM (Colombia, Bolivia and Peru) and the Caribbean (CuraƧao) we are looking for an additional Technical Support Engineer. The ideal candidate has good english reading, speaking and writing skills. Experience with portuguese would be very welcome.

What are they looking for?

As a Technical Support Engineer:

  • You are part of a global organization (Europe, Latin America, Middle East/Central Asia and Africa);
  • You proactively follow technical market developments to further improve our Spectator Communication Platform with new and/or improved (Security & Telehealth) applications, concepts and specifications;
  • You work in a strong, driven and fun team;
  • You work with international customers and partners;

Responsibilities
  • Managing the product portfolio;
  • Drawing up procedures and following them in consultation with management;
  • Maintaining the office network (Microsoft Domain, VMware virtualization, (Veeam) Backup, (Eset) Antivirus and other applications);
  • Providing technical documentation, reports and user manuals;
  • Keeping up with the latest technical developments and concepts in the IT, Security, Healthcare and eHealth market;
  • Managing relationships and providing technical support to suppliers, partners and specific end users;
  • Supporting our R&D department;
  • Providing installations and concept, product and technical trainings and implementation (possibly also outside Colombia);
  • Pre-sales support, advising customers about products and configurations;
  • After-sales support and troubleshooting.

Who are they looking for?

  • Analytical insight in combination with a 'hands-on' mentality;
  • Customer and results-oriented attitude;
  • No 9 to 5 attitude, also because we work with regional offices (colleagues) in 4 different time zones, which requires flexibility;
  • Good command of at least Spanish, and English, and preferably also Portuguese language, both spoken and written;
  • The willingness to travel (also abroad) for on-site installations, training and implementation;
  • Excellent representative and communication skills;
  • The skills of a team player, but can also work individually.

Requirements
  • Higher working/thinking level and/or a completed technical engineering education;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office:
  • Windows Server from 2012 onwards;
  • Windows Workstation from version 10 onwards;
  • Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio & Sharepoint);
  • Knowledge of IT:
  • Windows Server and Operating Systems;
  • SAP Crystal Reports and (SQL) databases, also with regard to backup and redundancy;
  • IP networks, routing, port forwarding, VPN and firewalls;
  • (Preferably) knowledge of security systems, in particular alarm systems and (IP) CCTV systems, such as NVRs and IP cameras;
  • (Preferably) experience with hardware research/testing, such as for biosensors, wearables, mobile Personal Alarm Systems and their respective APIs;
