Client provides solutions in the construction of permanent power plants, and both temporary and permanent sales of energy projects, cogeneration, gas compression and large pumping projects for all market sectors.

To further professionalize their most important business processes, client is looking for an experienced proposal manager to support the Brazilian business.

What are they looking for?

  • In this role, you’ll manage, lead and drive the creation of winning proposals in collaboration with sales, legal, supply chain and other departments to ensure successful execution of projects and alignment with our business objectives. You support the sales team with accurate
  • Scope of Supply and competitive pricing strategy for all client requests.
  • With your experience you bring speed and effectiveness in the proposal process to assure increasing winning rate. Your expertise will be crucial in developing persuasive proposals that highlight their strengths and added value while meeting client requirements.
  • You support the company in the transition process of incorporating renewable solutions by becoming a subject matter expert of these subjects.

Responsibilities
  • Own the development and delivery of winning technical sales proposals in response to RFx, tenders and standalone proposal
  • Manage proposal timelines and coordinate governance and sign-off
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant and professionally produced proposals
  • Coordinate and review proposal input from sales, legal, technical teams, and other stakeholders in a multicultural environment
  • Acts as gatekeeper during all phases of the proposal process
  • Maintain and update a Content Management System for proposal documentation and document lessons learned (best practices)
  • Train and coach potential team members to improve the width and depth of proposal management in the organization

Who are they looking for?

  • Solid understanding of local utility systems and interconnection requirements for generators
  • Medium Voltage system design and construction background is desireable
  • Solid understanding of power generation and utility scale projects
  • Experience with design of storage systems, solar & hybrid, and gas power plants will be highly valued
  • High attention to details (while working under pressure)
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority (in international business environment)

Requirements
  • Engineering degree preferrably with MBA
  • 10+ years experience in energy company in technical, proposal and or commercial roles
  • Solid understanding of power generation and utility scale projects
  • Experience with design of storage systems, solar & hybrid, and gas power plants will be highly valued
  • Experience in collaborating with Sales, Legal, Sales support and
  • Supply Chain Management, preferably in a multicultural environment
  • Bilingual in English and Portuguese
  • Experience with cost estimation
  • Experience with pricing strategies is highly preferred
  • Ok with up to 50% travel (mostly domestic)
  • Advanced in reading technical drawings
  • Advanced MS Word skills and proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with sales tools and software, including Salesforce.com and Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • Subject Matter Expertise in proposal and RFP best practices
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and internationally
